 Wedding Ceremonies

Your wedding ceremony should be as unique as your love story. I specialise in crafting bespoke, compassionate ceremonies that reflect your values, personalities, and connection. Whether you envision a minimalist editorial vibe or a serene, natural celebration in the West Country countryside, I am here to help you weave love, humour, and heartfelt connections into a personal experience that you and your guests will cherish forever.

All legal formalities must be completed through the registration services. Currently, civil celebrants cannot legally marry couples.  However, a wedding or a civil partnership ceremony can be held to personalise and reflect your love story and future plans together.

We can discuss ideas to include special ceremony elements. Ideas can include   handfasting, jumping the broom, first kiss/last kiss with the Mums, ring warming - and many others. Let's discuss how to make your day unique and memorable!

HANDFASTING

From £75

The origin of 'tying the knot'. A Pagan/Celtic tradition where ribbons or cloth are draped over the couple's clasped hands and then tied into a knot symbolising the bringing together of the two hearts in a union of strength and unity forever. Handfasting is a symbolic and visual element.

FLORAL GARLAND RITUAL

From £120

Guests are given a flower/piece of greenery, each has a tag explaining their symbolic meaning, a value or a blessing and these are woven either into a floral garland to be placed on the top table or into a floral arrangement to decorate the venue. The labels can then be kept afterwards as a keepsake/jar of wishes and blessings.

Lovely element to include for those who work on the land or outside!

A modern twist is the couple pouring one glass of white wine and one glass of red wine to create a blush that blends their union.

first kiss, last kiss

From £30

The mothers of the couple are called upon to join the bride(s) and groom(s) near the end of the ceremony. CIRCLE OF SUPPORT

From £25

Guests are invited to form a circle around the couple/couple and their child. Each person takes a turn to share a hope, a blessing or promise of support.

Could also switch on a light/light a candle as these are given so at the end they are surrounded by a circle of light. Stunning at dusk/night.
